Dapper DC is a London-based emcee. While his early musical roots lay in the jungle scene, he found lyrical inspiration in hip hop artists Snoop Dog and Nas, and soon took up rapping with Newham’s Last Alliance crew. Since then, far from being confined to any specific genre or sound, Dapper DC is found to be as at ease rapping with a live jam rock band as he is flowing over electronic beats. Describing his work simply as “party music,” his lyrics stay focused on the subjects he loves best: name brands, all night raves, and pretty girls.
